Bad times are faced by all of us in some or other form in our life at least once. We often see it with a negative lens. We often complain to the divine that why this all happening to me.

While everyone seems to be enjoying life. Comparing our selves to others is highly self centerer view. This creates useless road blocks to our growth.

We anchor our happiness and freedom to external validation many a times, the illusion of chasing what we don’t have is usually the biggest mistake people end up with day in day out.

The story

Teenage years of our life is the phase we are most prone these kind of thoughts. When our imaginary wishes are not entertained by anyone of our well wishers. This may also come to us when we are doing the things to gain something or trying to keep up with the promises we made in exchange of getting something. And when we don’t get the desired outcome and fail at being what we thought we would be like.

Similar kind of an incident came to my life when I was about to cherish the freedom of collage years. Where I didn’t got what I was looking for even after doing what all was required. I was stuck mentally with one thought that why is this happening to me and almost lived my 3 years of journey in a negative approach which was to be utilised as an opportunity.

After the completion of the degree, I realised it was all in my mind nothing else. I learned it the hard way that it’s all about mindset and courage no situation or person is bad that they can stop your growth and success.

Good or Bad

We often classify events and consequences as good or bad and keep on attributing our joy to certain experiences and events while neglecting others all together. One thing is very much of importance that wherever we are in present or will end up in future is just because of two reasons – either we are being tested and prepared by the divine for what we want or we have not done enough yet to deserve what we want.

So we can take it as an opportunity or keep on dwelling on the past decisions and regret forever.

What Next

The journey without a why me lens will be tough no doubt yet it will only last for a short period of time. What we can do to take lead is replace the thought to “what’s in for me ?” This will help you see things with a growth perspective and librate you from the fixed mindset. So the choice is totally on you. To make or break yourself. Keep flourishing.
