When we want to make connection with someone. What prevent us to go out and ask them, are they going to be friends with us.

There is a constant confusion and fear in our minds that, will they like us or are they ready to mingle and share memories with us. The paradox is they also think the same way as we think about rejections, which eventually make it difficult for both the parties to talk and make a connection. 

The easiest way is to initiate and take the move to introduce yourself, stand vulnerable and have the courage to communicate. What if you make a new friend, 90% of the time you won’t be rejected because people to want to connect with others. Even if you are rejected, you will still create a strong in their minds as you have broken the likability barrier by showing interest.

So approach people regularly and create new connections and break the fears down.
